Therefore, it should really be treated as a temporary workaround in order to understand the problem. This, however, will enforce the compatibility view for the whole domain (for example, if your problematic website is, compatibility view would be enabled for all CERN websites), which will maybe fix displaying of this one website, but may break displaying of many other websites. This is caused by the fact that they are optimised for an older version of Internet Explorer rather than adhere to the documented web standards.Ī temporary workaround is to try the problematic page with compatibility view enabled. Some older web applications may not be fully functional in Internet Explorer 11. On Windows 8, it comes with the "Modern UI" version optimised for operation by touch. Compared to version 9, a useful new feature is the spell-checker built into Internet Explorer 11. On Windows 7, its user interface is very similar to the previous version. Internet Explorer 11 is reported to be faster and provide better support for modern web standards. Please note that you should not download and install Internet Explorer from the Internet! New features

If your Windows 10 machine does not have Internet Explorer 11 and you have a valid reason to still use it, please install the CMF package " Enable IE 11 for Windows 10" on CMF Add/Remove package page.

It is still available on Windows 10, but Edge or Firefox are strongly recommended.
